Are you a healthcare professional working in diabetes?

Improve the treatment and care of people with the condition through the Quality in Care (QiC) Programme.

If you are a healthcare professional working in the field of diabetes and are passionate about improving the treatment and care of people living with the condition then sign up and enter the Quality in Care (QiC) Programme.

Treatment and care improvement

The programme highlights good practice and collaboration between the NHS, patient groups and the industry in specific therapy areas. It does this through identifying, commending and sharing initiatives that meet the values of QIPP (Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention) and ultimately deliver improvements in treatment and care.

The programme will create forums to facilitate further learning, sharing and dissemination of good practice within priority care pathways and ensure that people living with specific conditions have improved awareness of and access to the best possible standards of care.

Anyone working within diabetes arena should enter

With support from NHS Diabetes and Diabetes UK, the first therapy area covered by the QiC Programme is diabetes - a condition that affects around three and a half million people in the UK and costs the NHS an estimated £9bn annually, making it one of the biggest challenges facing our healthcare system today.

Anybody working within the diabetes arena should enter The Quality in Care (QiC) diabetes programme to help improve the treatment and care of people with diabetes.

Share your success and gain nationwide recognition

Diabetes UK Director of Care Information and Advocacy, Simon O’Neill, said: ‘ We encourage anyone who works in a diabetes-related area, to enter the QiC programme and invite their colleagues to do the same. It is a great way to help others by sharing your success and gain nationwide recognition for the work you do.’
