NIHR Diabetes Research Network

The NIHR Diabetes Research Network is part of the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network, and forms part of the UK Clinical Research Network. The Networks support and deliver high quality clinical research studies.

The primary goal of the NIHR Diabetes Research Network (DRN) is to achieve benefits for people with diabetes, or at risk of developing diabetes, through excellence in clinical research.

What is the Quality in Care (QiC) Diabetes Programme?

QiC Diabetes is a new initiative launched jointly in 2011 by NHS, industry and patient groups. Its goal is to recognise good practice in diabetes care, and to provide opportunities to share these initiatives as widely as possible so that they will ultimately benefit more patients.

Why enter QiC Diabetes?

QiC Diabetes is open to anyone in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland working in the diabetes community, in a UK health service, for a patient group, in the voluntary sector, industry, in a consultancy or people with diabetes. If you are proud of the good work you are doing in diabetes treatment and care, help others by sharing your success.

The entry process is simple and will not take up too much of your time.
