NIHR Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN), Annual National Meeting - Postponed
The NIHR Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN), formerly UKCRN, Annual National Meeting planned to take place on the 19 March 2009 will now be postponed until 2010. This is largely due to the subsequent announcement of the NIHR Regional Research Tour which will comprise a series of ten events, one in each Strategic Health Authority (SHA) area, throughout 2009. The Regional Research Tour will fulfil a similar purpose to the NIHR Annual National Meeting. It will bring together key stakeholders and showcase the excellent work taking place across the Networks alongside other NIHR partners such as the NIHR Faculty, NIHR Funders, Research Design Services and NIHR Collaborations for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRCs), amongst others. Each event will comprise of key note presentations, workshops and an exhibition.
The NIHR CRN Coordinating Centre believes that this is a unique and invaluable opportunity to work with our NIHR partners and to promote the work of the NIHR family including NIHR CRN which will be a major feature of the tour.
Further information about the Regional Research Tour and plans for the NIHR CRN 2010 National Meeting will be circulated as soon as they become available.

The dates for the NIHR Regional Research Events Tour 2009, as of 16th March 2009, is not a comprehensive list and the Department of Health still have a number of dates to confirm.

These events are led jointly by the Department of Health and the relevant SHA and further information, including venues, will be circulated as soon as it is made available.
