For clinicians and researchers interested in getting involved in diabetes research in the North East and Cumbria
As you may be aware, the Department of Health has recently established a number of topic specific clinical research networks including one in Diabetes. Our Region was successful in bidding to be part of the National Diabetes Network, and the North East and Cumbria Local Research Network (LRN) is one of the eight Diabetes LRNs in England.
The National Coordinating Centre for our network is already sending studies for feasibility and initiation across a wide range of diabetes areas and interests. In order to improve the efficiency of assignment of feasibility requests, we would like to establish a database of diabetes services and research interests across our NEC LRN region. We would be most grateful therefore if you would kindly complete the brief questionnaire which asks about your specific diabetes clinical and research interests. You may not be involved with research at the moment but please complete the form if you would like to be involved in the future. Please circulate to any other colleagues you think may be interested.
We would be grateful if the forms could be returned to Dr Léonie Walker (at the above address or alternatively by email) who is the NEC LRN Manager and who will collate all the information for our region.
Launch
